I love acoustics and you do it nicely. I keep waiting for you to really belt out those lyrics though. When you get more comfortable with your voice and really start SCREAMING out your voice with all that feeling behind it you'll do well. I think you've got alot of potential. Keep it up. --Mixposure REVIEW CREW 3/1/05
on the new songs... After listening to "Out of Control" and "On the other side", Darren is now making way with his songs. His songwriting strength is developing with each new song. You gotta give a listen to Darren's heartfelt music.

morgan from the x listened to my songs What a nice email to get. Thanks. I listened to some of your stuff, sounds
good - keep doing it - you obviously have a natural talent. I'm glad that
you like the nunavut song - I don't have an mp3, but there's a clip of it on
the X website - www.cbc.ca/thex - you could also just play it yourself...
it's easy - just E, A, B7 and a D chord thrown in for fun.ANYWAYS... thanks for writing, keep on rockin it

"Alone" -You are a true musician, that is why musicians write heart-felt songs, because people come into our lives and move us even if it is to sadness and our listeners buy & play this kind of music because they also experience this and
it's one of the hardest things in life to deal with.We so often think no one else goes thru this, or at least not as hard as we do, and guess
what?...they do and also think that this feels worse than the end of the road.

I think you have a great idea here. I'd like to see you develop it a bit more, because I think you're onto something really cool. Maybe add another part to the already strong riff you have going. You're playing with emotion and sincerity. That's really hard to do.--jimrust-guitarists.net
"Alone" This is a nice mellow song.If I may offer some suggestions... --reaper sg-guitarists.net
try and vary the loudness of the guitar, play a little softer in the verse
then let it loose during the chorus. This will put some dynamics in the music.
Also, I had trouble understanding some of the lyrics, if you articulate
the words a little clearer your voice will come through.
Hey, You're pretty darn good for someone your age, just keep
it up, pick up some pointers here from the other members
and see how your playing will evolve.
Radiohead? Sounds like you listen to a bit of radiohead (?). Nice tune tho, got that lazy voice thing going on which suits it. Good thing about chordal acoustic tunes is that they're pretty versitile with respect to what you can do with it. --daveasdf-guitarists.net
Your strong point is your lyrical writing. I like 'Alone' - it's well written --Cory (guitariff.com)
I think all of your songs are really good. I really like the Radiohead sound. It is very unintentional which makes it even better. I think everyone can relate to your lyrics too, which is something very hard to do. Sound good, keep it up!!

Hey man, great to hear from ya and thanks for checking out the site!
I'm on yours right now, it looks great. Thanks for the shout out as well.
Listening to one of your songs, i think it's untitled. Its good man. I like " I wish we never met" as well. Do you record on your own? Do you record both your vocals and your guitar at the same time?
I have a small project studio that I record singer songwriters at. If your interested in recording, I can offer great rates. I think we could really make some of these songs sound great!
Take care man and best of luck! Keep writing!

I suppose I should have come along here sooner, to let you know just how much I appreciate you and your music.
First of all, your music is so inspiring. The kind of stuff that can help you get through those really rough days, (You've been there through some of mine recently, and I don't know if I can tell you how much your music has helped.) I hope to be able to be here to watch all of your future albums come out, and watch your fanbase grow.
